چکیده

Abstract Background This study aimed at defining the variance of vessel density (VD) characteristics in macula children with normal eyes. Methods was a cross-sectional which subjects eyes aged 3–18 years were enrolled. The scanned by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). Four age groups as under 7 years, 7–10 11–14 and more than 14 defined. influences age, gender, body mass index on VD analyzed. Results A total 108 from 54 participants mean 10.9 enrolled study. At superficial deep retina capillary plexus (SCP DCP) choriocapillaris (CC), respectively, fovea 20.10%, 36.99%, 75.67%; parafovea, these measurements 53.12%, 55.81%, 69.76%; perifovea, measures 51.38%, 52.46%, 73.47%. median foveal avascular zone (FAZ) 0.30 mm 2 . No significant differences between superior-hemi inferior-hemi found studied plexuses. parafovea perifovea CC differed significantly groups. There no variation macular or sex. FAZ areas different genders. Conclusions difference genders area noted. larger male. Even though this is not longitudinal study, it may provide us hints about vascular development during puberty clinical implications OCTA children.

Quantification of Macular Microvascular Changes in Patients With Retinitis Pigmentosa Using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography.

Purpose To evaluate the microvascular changes in eyes with RP quantitatively using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) and to determine whether the correlations between these indices and the severity of RP are significant. Methods This was a retrospective, observational study. The medical records of 53 RP patients and 46 controls were reviewed. The OCTA images were obtained with t...

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Macular and Peripapillary Vessel Perfusion Density in Healthy Subjects, Glaucoma Suspects, and Glaucoma Patients.

Purpose To evaluate macular and peripapillary vessel perfusion density (VD) in glaucoma suspects (GS) and glaucoma patients; to correlate ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thicknesses with macular and peripapillary VD; and to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the structural and vascular parameters. Methods A consecutive series of GS, glaucoma p...

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography

Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a noninvasive approach that can visualize blood vessels down to the capillary level. With the advent of high-speed OCT and efficient algorithms, practical OCTA of ocular circulation is now available to ophthalmologists. Clinical investigations that used OCTA have increased exponentially in the past few years. This review will cover the history ...

Optical coherence tomography angiography

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was one of the biggest advances in ophthalmic imaging. Building on that platform, OCT angiography (OCTA) provides depth resolved images of blood flow in the retina and choroid with levels of detail far exceeding that obtained with older forms of imaging. This new modality is challenging because of the need for new equipment and processing techniques, current l...
